Why I’m running.

Hi friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year.

I’m writing to share some exciting news with you: I am running for Culver City Council in the November 2024 election!

A little about me and why I'm taking this major step-

I'm a policy analyst, community organizer, and a renter, and I have been engaged in local issues since I moved to Culver City 7 years ago.

I work in government affairs at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, served for over two years as Vice Chair of Culver City’s Advisory Committee on Housing & Homelessness, and co-created Culver City’s first official Pride celebration, now onto its 4th year running. And this June, I’m earning my Masters in Public Policy with a concentration in Housing, Transportation, and Urban Policy from UCLA.

I love Culver City, and for a long time, I have watched friends and neighbors struggle to afford to live here. While job opportunities have exploded, so has the cost of housing. We have made strides passing renter protections and building permanent supportive housing. But there is still so much work left to create a sustainable, inclusive city that is truly accessible to all.

That’s why I’m running-- to guarantee that no matter who you are, you can thrive in Culver City.

If you share that vision or simply want to learn more, I would be honored if you would join me for an afternoon in the park to kickoff our campaign for a safe, sustainable, and welcoming Culver City for everyone.
