…and we’re off!

Hey friends,

I hope everyone is staying dry and warm during this historic rainfall. If you are looking for resources, check out Mayor McMorrin’s latest newsletter.

It’s been a little over a week since we kicked off our campaign for a sustainable, inclusive Culver City, and I’m still buzzing. Thank you to the over 100 supporters who showed up at the park to share this exciting moment together.

I’m also grateful for the words of support shared by Mary Daval, Nancy Barba, former Mayor Lee, Councilmember Puza, Mayor McMorrin, and former L.A. Councilmember Bonin.

You can relive the day with these pieces in the Culver City Observer, Culver City Crossroads, and Westside Voice!

We talked about our common concerns: skyrocketing rents, unsafe streets, and the need for a people’s budget.

And we bonded over a shared vision of a Culver City where everyone can thrive— no matter who you are, how you get around, or how much money you make.

There was palpable joy in the park that day, and like Councilmember Bonin said, “In order to get from this moment of joy to that moment of joy [in November], there is a lot of work ahead.”

He said, “There are right-wing forces in Culver City and in Los Angeles… who will spend hundreds of thousands… to stop a renter advocate from being on the City Council.”

And he’s right.

Which is why we’re asking— will you pitch in $50 today to give our campaign a strong start?

Your donations will allow us to design and print campaign literature to start door-knocking and meeting more voters.

We can’t make lasting, impactful change without you— are you in?

Click below and pitch in $50 today.

Thank you for helping us kick off this campaign. I’m honored to be in this fight with you for a better future for Culver City and beyond.

Sincerely,

Bubba
