As Vice Chair of the Housing & Homelessness Advisory Committee for over two years, Bubba supported the city in its creation of a 73-unit permanent supportive housing project and a safe camping program for unhoused residents. In his capacity on the committee, Bubba helped to organize and conduct Culver City’s Homeless Count in both 2022 and 2023, which helps the city address the needs of our city’s unhoused population. For four years, Bubba served on the steering committee of Bike Culver City, a local organization that advocates for safe, sustainable mobility options. Several bills he sponsored are now law and already making California streets more safe and accessible, including requiring cities to calm traffic on deadly streets, preventing apartments from banning e-bikes, and requiring head starts for pedestrians at intersections.
